Lance Spivey - financial and operational management

Lance Spivey is an executive with over 13 years of experience in financial and operational management. Lance began his career with Arthur Andersen LLP working in the Audit and Business Advisory practice with retail and healthcare clients.

Prior to joining StratFi Partners, Lance spent 10 years with Baylor Health Care System’s physician network HealthTexas Provider Network. As Vice President of Operations for HealthTexas, Lance was responsible for the oversight of all business and practice management activities for over 200 multi-specialty physicians in approximately 30 locations with individual practice sizes ranging from 2 to 40 physicians.

In addition to his responsibilities managing day to day operations, Lance was involved in a variety of initiatives that included real estate development, new practice start-ups, imaging ventures, laboratory ventures and information technology solutions such as Picture Archival and Communication Systems (PACS) and Electronic Health Records. In addition, Lance routinely spoke on behalf of HealthTexas to new physician groups and MBA/MHA programs on financial and practice management issues.

Prior to his role as Vice President of Operations, Lance was a member of the HealthTexas Finance team where he lead initiatives to analyze practice performance as well as design and produce HealthTexas’ advanced online financial management reporting process that is currently being applied to over 400 physicians in more than 70 locations.

Lance holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Baylor University, a Master of Business Administration (with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration) from the University of Colorado and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
